Changes to NHS Cervical Screening Results from September 2025

From September, the NHS will begin sending negative cervical screening results directly through the NHS App.

✅ If your test result is negative, you’ll receive an NHS App message and a notification.

📩 If the message isn’t read within 72 hours, a letter will still be sent as a backup.

📬 Abnormal result letters will continue to be sent by post for now.

This follows the successful rollout of digital invitations and reminders in June 2025 — where 9 out of 10 are now sent digitally! 📲
